Setting The Record Straight (Part 3)

After a period of additional investigation I have made some additional contacts with people who were in Melbourne, Florida during the time of Lorissa's troubles. While I am still in the process of separating fact from fiction, it appears that a fair number of contradictions between the 3 different people that I have spoken to since things started coming through the woodwork. If nothing else, there is far more going on here than has been published, and it looks like a good amount of criminal activity on the part of certain people can be assumed.

Be this all as it may, the primary drive of this particular post is to further reveal the good side of Lorissa's time since leaving her troubled past behind, the redemption that is quite inspirational. Sadly this story did not have a happy end, but it paints the picture of a woman determined to pick up the pieces, a woman that had found a decent man after years of abuse and neglect. Enclosed in the new installment of my ongoing audio commentary about this is a letter from Lorissa to David that reveals a woman that had much to live for, a woman who would not have killed herself.

Suffice to say, the rumors of Lorissa's suicide have a source, and that source is the cause of her death, Doug Taylor. Even if it were to come to light that her death was an accident, this piece of human garbage did everything in his power to make her life a living hell, and thus exposing her flaw of seeing good in people even when it isn't there. Towards the end (as alluded to in Part 2) it was clear that her naivety had faded and she was committed to complete separation from him, though she still wanted to see him taken care of (a comparison to Mother Teresa would be appropriate).

With regard to the "Kitten" referenced in Lorissa's letter to David, Lorissa actually had 2 pet cats, one of them was named Kitten. It is a testament to Doug Taylor's cruelty and inhumanity that in addition to not caring about the pain that she was in, that he had money to spend on his alcoholism but not a few dollars for her to get her cat a vet. appointment. To the best of my knowledge, both of her cats were euthanized after she died and Doug had fled town, a final gift to the memory of a woman that he was quoted by one of my Florida sources as being "his entire world". Then again, a reprobate man will ultimately destroy what he claims to love, and the good folks living in Waverly that are supposedly big on small town community did nothing to help her according to David.

My acceptance of the Reformed Presbyterian faith has taught me mankind is inherently depraved, but I am always taken aback by every countless example that reveals itself. But it's hard even in my cynicism to fathom the contemptible scumbag guising as a man that took this beautiful creature from the world. And it is my hope that in time justice will come, but I will not wait for it to come on its own, nor should any of you if you feel so inclined to take up a parallel cause in communicating the truth of what happened to her. She loved you all, and is smiling down upon you now as I write this.
